This Piper (2016) - Pixar Short Video Guide | Questions | Worksheet | Google Form challenges students to analyze this 6 minute awarding winning animation. Identify the theme and explore lessons about persistence and finding unique solutions to problems. Discuss how the director communicates to the audience what happened when the wave crashed on Piper without actually showing it. Encourage students to share their experience with waves, or if they don’t have any, how they would react to a big wave approaching them. Finally, compare how Piper’s behavior and attitude changes from the beginning of the video.

This resource consists of 6 high-level, short answer and essay questions that will do more than just ask your students to regurgitate information.

**Distance Learning Tips:

• Distribute the digital PDF file or the google forms version to each student
• Use the screen sharing tool on your group call software to play the movie
• Pause the movie at each question to give students time to write/discuss
