A 14 page booklet for students studying EDUQAS/WJEC GCSE Film Studies. This booklet is a great resource for both revision and to use in a unit of lessons when teaching for the first time. There are spaces to write in the booklet but some tasks can be undertaken in school books/online. The booklet covers all of the film technology areas as required for the EDUQAS/WJEC exam - from 1895 and the Lumiere Brothers to IMAX in the 2010s.

A revision booklet which includes a glossary of key terms for students to fill definitions in, guidance on how to approach unseen poems in the exam, a step by step practice for answering the 24 mark question and the 8 mark question (AQA). There are modeled paragraphs included plus a bonus independent practice. The poems used for the guided tasks are Duffy’s Valentine and Bronte’s Love and Friendship.

This is a resource booklet which can be used to form a unit of work on the study of the Global Non-English Language film, Wadjda from the GCSE Film Studies specification. Please note that it is a PDF and can only be edited if you have access to a PDF editor. There are some references to video clips in the booklet - no links are provided but they should be readily available on YouTube or on the DVD extras of the film (e.g. interviews with the director about the making of process).
